Another Man's Treasure Vintage Store
Established in 2006, Another Man’s Treasure has been included in both USA today, and Elle.com's best places to shop vintage in America. Refinery 29 even listed Another Man's Treasure as one of 25 reasons to move to NJ! Owners Meika and Warren Franz bring years of experience, buying savvy, and a keen eye for quality and detail to the business, continually hunting, sourcing, and hand-picking across the country and abroad, resulting in a constantly evolving and expanding collection. New items are added to the shop every day, including a selection of vintage vinyl provided by our friends over at Jersey City's best kept secret Iris Records. Another Man’s Treasure’s dedication to providing its customers with the best vintage clothing - seasonally appropriate and on-trend - at affordable prices is obvious in their selection. Their vintage finds have graced the pages of such noted publications as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire, New York Magazine, Time Out NY, & many more.
The store, open seven days a week and located at 195 Montgomery Street in Jersey City, is a few block from the Grove Street PATH Train station and a short distance from the Holland Tunnel, making the shop a convenient must-visit destination for New York vintage shoppers in the know.
Meika, whose forebears in New Jersey and California worked in the sewing and garment construction industries, grew up surrounded by thread, fabric, and clothes, and developed a highly-discriminating sense for material and aesthetic quality. Warren, a native of Yorkshire, England who met Meika when his rock band was on tour in New York City, has an impressive knowledge of fashion and cultural history. Both have a knack for finding beautiful items, styling, and staying on trend while remaining faithful to the spirit of past styles. They even named their daughter Biba after the famous 1960's London boutique.
Another Man’s Treasure Vintage Showroom
Now located inside the new AMT vintage, the showroom’s collection stretches back to the Victorian era, featuring delicate beaded gowns, antique frocks, vintage militaria and knitwear, and hats and fascinators that evoke the golden age of Hollywood. Such sought-after items, devotedly hunted for, bought, and assembled by Meika and Warren, make the showroom a mecca for collectors, designers, costume makers, and vintage enthusiasts searching for a truly special item. The range of high-end designer, couture, and bespoke pieces - a walk through the showroom can reveal a Schiaparelli hat, an Alaia gown, an Yves St. Laurent tuxedo - is impressive, and speaks of historical knowledge and research as much as it does cocktail parties.
Another Man’s Treasure can also be found at multiple vintage clothing shows in NYC including the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show and A Current Affair . Since 2008, Warren and Meika have carefully selected and presented some of their finest pieces to sell at the shows, alongside dozens of the best vintage dealers from across America. Their consistent success and acclaim at the shows has further established Another Man’s Treasure’s reputation for style and quality.
